Everyday is Valentine’s Day: Adam & Huong

How did it all begin for you?

Adam and Huong first met in a bar in Vietnam in December of 2015. Seduced by Adam’s “handsome” looks and dance moves, beautiful, dark-haired Huong smiles as she remembers going over to talk to him as she thought he would be fun.
“I looked really cool!!” Adam jokes.
“She had big eyes because she had to look up to me!” Adam says, chuckling at the memory, “that was attractive…I’ll never forget it!” Yup, he was sold!!

What would your partner say that he/she loves most about you?

Confident of being Adam’s “best”, beautiful Huong wants to take care of every little detail in Adam’s life, wanting to do “everything for him, forever.” And for his part, Adam says she likes that he “takes care of her” and he speaks of his love for her and their son Kade.

What is your favourite memory of your life together so far?

As their gorgeous little son clambers around them, Adam replies without hesitation, “Kade. He’d be mine. What’s your favourite memory, darling?” To which Huong quickly answers, “Kade, too.”

What was your biggest worry when applying for the Partner Visa?

Adam’s biggest concern was that the Visa wouldn’t get approved, forcing him to either “start the process again” or move to Vietnam which he wouldn’t have minded. Ultimately, they decided that Australia was the best place for them to raise a family.

What was it like to hear that the Visa was granted?

Smiling and sheepishly admitting he was in a pub with a mate when he got THE CALL from Emma, Adam says, “ I didn’t call Huong, I just wanted to surprise her’. He thought they should go out for dinner but they stayed in and celebrated with pizza and much love knowing that their dream of finally being together permanently has come true.

What is life together now?

Adam sums it up for them when he says, “It’s a lot more relaxing now knowing that Huong’s Visa is here and because I don’t have to worry anymore, I don’t have that underlying stress.”
